Agenzia Marittima Duodo shipping and freight forwarding agency has a long-standing tradition in the Venetian port trading business.
Founded in 1935 in the heart of Venice, it started life as a Ship Owner, before developing its operations in the shipping field and changing its business interests. In the early 1970s, as a complement to its business, Duodo founded a shipping agency division that grew to become its core business, allowing the company to consolidate a leading position in the Venetian shipping scenario.
The company definitively abandoned the shipyard in the late 1980s, to focus entirely on the shipping agency aspects and develop its freight forwarding and customs brokerage business. The boom in the company’s activities in the early 1980s made it necessary to open a branch office also at the Port of Chioggia.
Today the main office of the agency is located in Porto Marghera (Venice), the central point of the port and local industrial activity.
Duodo & Co. is also present in all main Italian ports, either directly or through sub-agents. This strategy allows to guarantee clients the same high standards in the services that are offered daily, based on experience and professional expertise, in Venice and Chioggia.
